My monthly is a no show and has been since late January. Since this is the second time this has happened here, they gave me an OB consult to try and figure out what is going on. So on the 18th, I go in to have a PAP so that by my OB appointment on the 23rd, they will have the results so that they can rule something if not anything out as to why I am still not having my period.
I just had my thyroid levels checked and they are still normal so we know it isn't that now which is good.

Today was my OB appointment to get the fertility treatment ball rolling. At least we have a plan now. She thinks I have PCOS (poly-cystic ovary syndrome). She ordered all the testing for that. Also, she believes that since I get my period on birth control, that it is not my thyroid causing my periods to go MIA. She also wants me to see a nutritionist since I am actively trying to get this extra weight off and it won't budge.
She has given me Provera to jump start my cycles and she will be doing some testing on CD3. Depending on those results, we will decide where to go from there.

My appointment this morning didn't go so well. The only lab work that came back was the TSH for my thyroid and Josh's SA. The others get mailed to the states and they aren't back yet. So it was pointless for me to go in. She said she would like to wait it out and see if I get my period on my own. Um, Newsflash lady! Every period that I've had for the last year has been medically induced. I am NOT going to have one on my own. Then she tells me that while she is happy to see that I've started a diet and have been going to the gym more, that she would like to see me add one more gym session a week. I already go 4 times a week! Plus I walk the dog, keep up with the house, and in order to make a baby, I actually have to spend time with my husband. Imagine that!
Oh & Did I mention she is Pregnant!?

So my Dr just called me. My labs are finally back. My thyroid levels are normal, My FSH is normal. and my testosterone levels are normal. WTF is wrong with me? She said my cycles were the only problem and she doesn't know why they are so long.
She put in for another roud of Provera to induce AF, then a round of Clomid. Then she will do an ultrasound to check follicle growth. If we have a good follicle, then I will get a hCG shot to trigger ovulation, Then comes the fun part.

So, as I figured. Not this month. So now we wait to see if AF shows on her own. My doctor said most women who take a round of clomid have a period on their own. I have to wait 4 weeks. If no AF or a positive HPT then She will prescribe another round of provera. She said there is still the posibility of getting pregnant this month. But the chances are very low.
And the results are finally in. I do infact have PCOS. Now I have to take metformin 3x a day..
